We recently became aware of a fantastic fireplace makeover project from one of our customers Martyn and wanted to find out a bit more about it.

He and his wife wanted to decorate their living room, Martyn had heard about Plasti Dip from YouTube videos and thought it would be perfect for the job, he also decided to film the transformation himself to share in a series of videos. You can see how he got on below…

A temporary or permanent transformation

Whilst Martyn used primer to make this a permanent transformation, it’s worth bearing in mind that if you want to transform the look of a fireplace and you are in rented accommodation you can use Plasti DIp without a primer and the result will look just as good, BUT they’ll be the added benefit that if you want to you can peel the coating off many months or years later and take the fireplace back to its original finish without damaging it.
