Earlier this year Plasti Dip featured on BBC Repair Shop. The show is filmed at the Weald & Downland museum which is only a few miles from our Hampshire HQ, so we were delighted to be involved in a local production, especially one that showed another use of our versatile rubberised coating.

In the show ‘Ted’ was brought in by Lesley. Her bear was the first gift her adoptive parents had given her, but over the years he’d suffered damage and wear and tear and was in need of some restoration. While toy restorers Julie & Amanda worked on restoring parts of his fur, Steve set to work bringing life back to Ted’s squeaker, a process that involved using Plasti Dip to protect and restore the outside of the squeaker.

After Ted had his squeak restored and his fur repaired he was returned to his delighted owner who was able to hold him for the first time in 50 years without the fear of him falling apart. We were thrilled to have played a small part in his return to health!
